You have seen all of The Fast and The Furious movies and let's just say that you're an expert when it comes to going from 0 to 60 as fast as you can. However, just because you know how to go fast, thanks to your turbo, doesn't mean that you know the ins and outs of every part of your car-- including how to tell if you need to have your ISX turbo repaired. From a lack of acceleration to a loud shrieking noise, this article will list a few signs that you are in need of some serious ISX turbo repair

1. Lack of Acceleration

Your turbocharger is there for a reason, right? It's to help you accelerate as quickly as possible. However, if you have noticed that your car is having a harder time accelerating as quickly as usual, then it may be an indication that your turbo needs to be repaired. Luckily, with the help of an auto mechanic, you can get your turbocharger repaired as quickly as possible.

2. Excessive Exhaust

Unless you drive an electric car, you have some exhaust that emits from your car. And although a little bit of exhaust is normal, if you have noticed more exhaust than usual coming from your exhaust pipe, it could mean a variety of things, including that your turbocharger needs to be repaired. With a simple diagnostics test, your mechanic should be able to tell you what exactly is going on with your exhaust.

3. Loud Shrieking Noise

The last thing you want to hear from your car is any sort of weird noises-- especially a loud shrieking one. Although this type of noise could mean a variety of things, including breaks, the type of shrieking noise that is caused by a bad turbo usually comes more from the engine. To see exactly where the sound is coming from, have someone sit in your driver's seat and press on the gas while your car is in park. Then, pop your hood and place your head near your engine-- is the sound coming from there? If so, it is likely your turbocharger.

Having a turbocharger is one of the most fun things to have on a car, but when it's not working right, it can be a real pain. Luckily, with the help of an ISX turbo repair technician, you can get your car up and running as soon as possible.
